Macedonian soil is not dormant: Series of earthquakes struck Ohrid, the quake woke up people from deep sleep, and it shook them again today!
The earthquake of 2.8 degrees on the Richter scale hit the southwest Macedonia last night. It was felt in Ohrid, Struga and Resen , at 1:02 AM, the agency MIA reported. Then there was a new earthquake of 3.7 degrees around 13:45 hours, which was the sixth movement of ground in this region in the last two days.
As the Seismological Observatory of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics in Skopje announced, the earthquake epicenter was located 8km from Ohrid, at a depth of 5 kilometers.

This earthquake scared the inhabitants of Ohrid, whose apartments are located in multi-storeyed buildings, and they were most likely to swing.
A few minutes after the earthquake, citizens of the Ohrid-Prespa region, said on social networks that the earthquake woke them up from deep sleep.
Ohrid was hit by an earthquake six days ago, when the seismic apparatus at 15:10 hours recorded an earthquake of 5 degrees of European macroseismic scale.
The earthquake of 3.6 magnitude frightened the inhabitants of Ohrid on June 18, when some of them left their homes in fear.
