KFOR commander says not all incidents ethnic
KFOR commander Italian General Salvator Cuoci said on Friday that he does not think all incidents involving Serbs were ethnically motivated.
“In most cases, they involve young people, young gangs, some are linked to ordinary people who were there by accident. I believe that these incidents are caused by other reasons, not ethnic reasons,” the general said.
He added that KFOR has devoted great attention to those cases because it does not want to see an escalation of the situation. “We have increased our presence to calm the situation. We are aware of what is happening and are dealing with it very seriously,” Cuoci said.
