Half of Serbia’s adults lack digital literacy
Serbia’s Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunication said on Thursday that half of Serbia’s population over 15 years of age were digitally illiterate.
The Ministry’s statement said that 34 percent of those had computer skills, while 14 percent were partially familiar with them.
Tatjana Matic, a state secretary in the Ministry, told a meeting of the Working Group for Developing Digital Skills that people needed computer literacy not only because of their work >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << but also because of the e-banking, e-trade, e-administration and alike.
“Digital illiteracy can expose people, especially children, to all kinds of abuses possible with new technologies,” Matic warned.
