Giant catfish eats all Offenbach’s lake population
German city Offenbach is looking for a way to get rid of a giant catfish who ate the entire fish population in the city lake and is now feeding on the local ducklings.
The catfish was seen about a year ago. The predator is a meter and a half long.
The DPA news agency reported that city authorities had announced it would hire a professional fishermen to stop its hunt.
The city plans to release the catfish and put it into a private lake with appropriate conditions for its species.
