German minister: Redrawing borders will not solve problems
Redrawing the borders will not solve any problems but would lead to ethnic recrimination, German Minister for Europe, Michael Roth said on Monday.
The minister addressed “friends in Kosovo and Serbia” on his Twitter profile amidst the debate on Kosovo and allegations on possible exchanges of territory, which triggered fierce reactions in the region and in international circles.
“That would open a Pandora's box of ethnic recriminations,” the German official warned.
“The future of the Western Balkans is just multi-ethnic, multi-religious and multi-cultural. United in diversity, that's Europe,” he wrote.
