Fugitives injure Macedonian policemen
Two Macedonian policemen were hit by a car they tried to stop in a village just outside the capital Skoplje.
The policemen signalled a VW Golf to stop in the village of Aracinovo when the driver hit them. Other policemen were fired shots into the air but the car sped away, the Macedonian Internal Affairs Ministry (MUP) said.
The police were conducting a search for the two men in the car under who had been sentenced but failed to report to jail to serve their sentences, the statement added.
The two policemen were released from hospital with minor injuries.
