Fire alarms evacuate Belgrade Hilton
Belgrade’s central Hilton hotel was evacuated after fire alarms sounded on Tuesday evening, Belgrade media reported.
A small fire broke out in a power substation in the hotel’s public garage, activating the fire alarms and causing the evacuation of guests and staff, some of who were wrapped in golden fire-proof blankets.
The city fire brigade deployed two fire trucks to put out the fire and the power company sent a crew to deal with the damage to its substation where the fire started.
