Egypt opening its market to Serbian wheat farmers
Egypt is opening its market to Serbian wheat farmers for the first time in 30 years, Serbian Agriculture Minister Branislav Nedimovic told the state TV (RTS) on Wednesday.
“We invested efforts for a year to qualify for that market. This year we have two million tonnes of wheat and this will encourage farmers to invest more in wheat,” the minister said.
Serbia has to have alternative markets instead of being focused on just one country as it was on Russia in case something >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << goes wrong with that one market, Nedimovic said. “Our idea is to open new markets with China and India, perhaps in north Africa, primarily Morocco and Algeria, and get back into places where we were present once with farm produce,” the minister added.
