Djordjevic: Working conditions have improved
Although the state is doing what it can, workers in Serbia are mostly complaining about their economic situation, said Minister of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Policy, Zoran Djordjevic.
“It’s their number one complaint,” Djordjevic told the local Kurir newspaper.
The Minister appealed for discrimination cases against pregnant woman and new mothers to be reported, saying the Ministry will not tolerate this and that it will solve it in the most efficient >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << way.
His message to workers for Labour Day, May 1, was: “Order, work and discipline”.
“The state’s attitude towards workers has drastically improved,” he said. “Some of the problems were solved with strikes and protests in the past, while now, even if there are problems they are being solved through dialogue.”
The Minister said there is a good and continuous socio-economic connection between the state and the workers, and the workers and the employers. According to him, the working conditions and the care for workers are much better than before.
