Defence Minister observes joint army-police exercise
Serbian Defence Minister Aleksandar Vulin attended a rehersal of a joint army and police exercise in the city of Kraljevo on Monday.
A ministry press release said that the exercise named Joint Strike 2018 (Zajednicki Uder 2018) included personnel of the Army of Serbia (VS) Special Brigade, military police, MP special purpose battalion Kobra and air force and AA defence support units as well as the Gendarmerie, police Special Anti-terrorist Unit (SAJ), Police Brigade and police SWAT >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << and helicopter units.
The tactical exercise includes hostage rescue in buildings and vehicles and operations against terrorist groups, the press release said, adding that the exercise is part of training for joint counter-terrorism operations by army and police units.
The exercise ends with a presentation of a specially-equipped VS infantry rapid reaction detachment.
