Some 1,500 people, both Serbs and Croats, remain missing after the 1991-95 war. Grabar-Kitarovic said that the two countries are trying their best to find them and that eventually, the efforts will pay off.

“I want to see significant progress in finding the missing persons before I pay an official visit to Serbia,” she said.
