Croatian President: We must find those missing from war
Croatia’s President said on Saturday she was disappointed with the lack of progress in finding those who went missing during the wars in former Yugoslavia and that she wants to see some results before she visits Serbia.
"I don't know how (Serbian President) Mr (Aleksandar) Vucic feels but I personally feel very disappointed about the failure to reach progress in solving the issue of the missing people," President Kolinda Grabar Kitarovic told the Slobodna Dalmacija daily. >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija <<
Some 1,500 people, both Serbs and Croats, remain missing after the 1991-95 war. Grabar-Kitarovic said that the two countries are trying their best to find them and that eventually, the efforts will pay off.
"Institutions need to cooperate on this,” the President said.
“I want to see significant progress in finding the missing persons before I pay an official visit to Serbia,” she said.
