Belgrade’s water supply safe, public utility says
The Belgrade Waterworks public utility on Thursday denied reports on social media that the city’s water supply had been contaminated and was not fit for human consumption.
Belgrade’s water is safe and fit for consumption, the Beta news agency was told at the public utility company.
Belgrade Waterworks laboratory chief at the Makis plant Vesna Lukic said that analyses of the city’s drinking water supply showed no changes over the past few days.
“The water is fine and there have been no changes in quality,” she told Prva TV. Lukic said the water supply is tested constantly throughout the day.
