Belgrade hosts parade marking liberation anniversary

Saturday marks the 74th anniversary of the liberation of Belgrade in the Second World War. In the fights between October 12 and 20, 1944, some 3,000 combatants of the Yugoslav National Liberation Army and 960 soldiers and officers of the Red Army were killed.

The Serbian capital is hosting a parade attended by the Association of Veterans of the National Liberation War of Yugoslavia (SUBNOR).

Serbia's Secretary General Nikola Selakovic, Minister of Labor, Employment, Veterans >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << and Social Affairs Zoran Djordjevic, Belgrade Assembly Speaker Nikola Nikodijevic, representatives of the Ministry of Defense and the Serbian Armed Forces, all laid flowers at the Cemetery of the Liberators of Belgrade.
