Belgrade, Pristina defining dialogue agenda

Belgrade and Pristina will define the agenda for their talks on normalizing relations, European Commission spokesman Carlos Martin Ruiz de Gordejuela told reporters in Brussels on Thursday.

“It will be up to the parties to set up the agenda. Our role is to facilitate the dialogue,” he said when asked if Presidents Aleksandar Vucic and Hashim Thaci could possibly discuss changes to the borders of Serbia and Kosovo at their next meeting in September.

“A lasting solution >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << means a viable, sustainable realistic solution according to international law. The parties are defining common ground for mutual consent,” the European Commission spokesman said and added that the dialogue under European Union auspices “aims to promote lasting cooperation between the two sides, helping them to achieve progress on the path to Europe and improve the lives of the people”.

He recalled that Presidents Thaci and Vucic had an intensive and productive discussion on framework of agreement on comprehensive normalization of relations at their most recent meeting and agreed to intensify their work in coming weeks.
