Average Serbian salaries higher in August

The average net wage in Serbia was higher both nominally and in real terms in August this year than in the same month of 2017, the Serbian Republic Statistics Office said on Thursday.

According to the latest data, the average net wage stood at 49,773 Dinars or 421 Euros and was 6.8 percent higher nominally or 4.1 percent in real terms than a year earlier.

The average gross wage in August stood at 68,831 Dinars, which is nominally higher by 6.2 percent or 3.5 percent in >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << real terms.

Net salaries are higher in the January-August 2018 period by 6.3 percent nominally and 4.3 percent in real terms compared to the same period a year earlier while gross salaries rose by 5.8 percent nominally or 3.8 percent in real terms.

The median net wage in August stood at 39,000 percent which means that 50 percent of the workforce had salaries higher than that amount.
