Average Salaries rise in Serbia
Average net and gross salaries rose in Serbia in May both nominally and in real terms, the Serbian Republic Statistics Office said on Wednesday.
The average net salary in May stood at 50,377 Dinars or 426 Euros which is is 6.9 percent nominally higher than in the same month of 2017 and 4.7 percent in real terms, it said.
According to the Statistics Office, the average gross salary in May stood at 69,684 Dinars (590 Euros) or 6.4 percent nominally higher than a year earlier >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << and 4.2 percent higher in real terms.
The cummulative rise in net salaries over the January – May period of 2018 stood at 6 percent nominally and 4.3 percent in real terms while the average gross salary was 5.6 percent higher nominally and 3.9 percent higher in real terms.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said a day earlier that average salaries would rise from 426 Euros in May to at least 470 Euros by the end of the year.
