American ambassador leaves his organs to Serbian citizens: Scott signed the donor card
It takes around two million potential donors to establish regular organ transplant in Serbia. What is interesting is that american ambassador Kyle Scott signed a donor card.
- Signing of the donor card doesn't bind the one who signed it, but it shows the mood of the nation to donate organs. According to the law on transplantation, no matter the donor card, the family of the potential donor still has the last say if his organs can be taken and that law won't be changed much.

- What we discussed on a meeting when we talked about is to make the same practice in Serbia as it is in Belgium - if someone is forbidden to donate during his lifetime he should have it in writing, he won't be donate then - explains prof. Dr. Miljko Ristic.
On a question, if Scott dies outside Serbian borders and his family finds the card and take it as his wish, Serbia could formally and legally use his organs, the expert says that we should ask attorneys, reports "Alo".
