"A sad adio" song bids farewell to last train for Bar
Railway traffic at the Main Belgrade railway station will be completely suspended from July 1. The last train for Bar, from one of the oldest railway stations in Serbia, was accompanied with the melodies of the song "A sad adio".
The station was built between 1882 and 1885. It is the main stop for international and domestic trains in Serbia’s capital, situated in the very centre of the city.
The Main Belgrade station will be completely suspended as will the railway >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << traffic in the area of the Sava amphitheatre, where the Belgrade Waterflow is being built.
International passenger trains travelling between Belgrade and Bar (Montenegro) will now start from and arrive at a more distant ‘Topcider’ train station.
A video showing the departure of the last Bar train showed up on the social media, accompanied by a text:
“The main Belgrade Station 21:10, June 15, 2018, the final departure of the 433, Belgrade-Bar, train."
