Pet friendly kindergarten in Novi Sad
In Serbia's northern province Vojvodina capital Novi Sad started a programme of pet friendly workshops in kindergartens where kids can learn how to behave with dogs
A kindergarten in Serbia’s northern city of Novi Sad, is quite different in comparison to other similar places across the country because it is pet friendly daily care for children, where their parents can come with family pets to pick up kids.
As of recently, kids there can also learn how to behave with >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << dogs. Preschool institution “Happy Childhood” organised a workshop, the first in a series planned as a regular activity. Centre for pet therapy “Friendly Paw” and its dog Lara absolutely enthused everyone.
After their parents agreed and helped by Lara, children were introduced to the rules of proper and safe behaviour with dogs Lara is a therapeutic dog, trained to work with kids which is important because children with special needs also attend the kindergarten.
The workshop will continue in other Novi Sad kindergartens. “I think that we are richer for a new experience,” said Tijana Stanojev, a veterinarian, who prepared children for a new friendship with Lara teaching them how to approach a dog, cuddle it, treat it with sweets and other important steps in getting closer to pets and avoid being afraid of them.
