President of the Kosovo Assembly Kadri Veseli, said today that the wall on the north side of the bridge in Kosovska Mitrovica will be demolished next month. According to him, the wall "represents and promotes the concept of division."
- The wall will fall down in any case. I don't know if that will be on 1. or 17. February, but it will fall down - said Veselji after the Assembly meeting, reports RTS.

The councilors of the Municipal Assembly of Kosovska Mitrovica delayed the meeting where the topic should be the wall on the north side of the bridge.
The opening of the bridge is scheduled for January 20th.

Built wall on the north side of the bridge caused a strong reaction from Albanians from the southern part of Mitrovica and the authorities and the opposition in Pristina.
They seek to demolish the wall, and the local government in the northern part of Mitrovica says that the wall does not mean a new barricade and that is a work on construction of the pedestrian zone.

The session was postponed at the request of Srpska councilors lists because of strong special police forces that arrived to northern Kosovo in the previous two days, reports RTS.
