Kosovo police briefly detain Serb on suspicion of war crimes
The Kosovo Police arrested and later released a Serb suspected of war crimes during Monday’s incident at a church outside the town of Klina.
The Koha.net portal said that Serb L.B. (53) on suspicion of involvement in the killing of Albanians in the village of Petric outside Klina in 1999.
“Kosovo Serb L.B. was identified by protest participants as a suspect allegedly involved in massacre committed on March 29, 1999 in the village of Petric and >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << was taken to the police station for investigation,” the Kosovo police said in a press release.
The man was released the same evening, a local official said, adding that he was initially arrested when several Albanians told the police he had been provoking them.
