NATO will accept Serbia’s decision, general says
NATO will accept Serbia’s decision about joining the alliance or not and does not see any problem with its partnership with other countries, the head of the NATO Military Liaison Office in Belgrade Brigadier General Cesare Marinelli said on Wednesday.
The Alliance will see no problem in Serbia having a partnership with countries like Russia or Belarus, he told >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << the opening of a conference on military cooperation between the Serbian armed forces and NATO member states.
The general said that NATO has offered training in its 29 member states for military personnel from Serbia to ensure the stability of the Balkans.
According to him, the alliance wants good cooperation with Serbia because that is important for regional stability and for exchanges of information and views.
Serbia and NATO share common challenges and we want common solutions as part of the firm cooperation between the alliance and Serbia, he said.
