Children’s Carnival “Đurđevdan”
In the organization of City Tourist Organization, once again traditional Children’s Carnival was held as a part of the celebration of Đurđevdan, The Day of the City of Kragujevac. Costumed participants of the carnival gathered at 11 o’clock on Radomir Putnik Square and passed by “Bezistan” building, Floral Square, Višnjićeva Street, between the buildings of new and old Post Office. In the end the best costume was chosen.

Among the participants were, as in the previous years, the youngest, pre-school children from kindergarten “Nada Naumović”, elementary schools from Kragujevac, dance groups, sports clubs, “Abrašević“, children’s choir “Amadeus“, numerous institutions and organizations and all those with costumes ready to join the carnival.
On the Boulevard of Lepenica motorbike riders from motorbike club “Smak” waited for them and lead the carnival, while our faithful companions Association of Fića fans were behind the participants. In the middle of the carnival there were three mobile speakers and one vehicle with LED screen.
The carnival went along the Boulevard of Lepenica towards the Two Bridges near the Old Assembly, then along the 27th March Street, through the centre to the stage set in front of The Cross. Entire show was streamed live on LED screen, while ballet group “Applause” and dance groups “Fiesta”, “Link” and “Dolls”, as well as numerous guests performed on stage. First children’s choir of Kragujevac “Amadeus” premiered with a song about Kragujevac, while the special jury gave the prizes, provided by many sponsors, to the best and most creative costumes.
