Ivica Toncev, state secretary in the Ministry of foreign affairs, said for Telegraf that Serbia won't increase safety measures in Ankara, nor there will be any changes. - Our embassies are safe everywhere in the world, even in Turkey. So far we have no need to increase safety, nor to close the embassy in Ankara. There is perhaps only need for higher caution, but not for security - said Toncev.
Toncev was placed last week for state secretary.
- I am have been on work for short time, of course, nothing violent happened in that period, and according to my knowledge, nothing has happened in recent past. Serbs are welcome everywhere in world. We have more friends than enemies.
Serbian ambassadors are going without security all around the world.
- Zagreb, Tirana... Everywhere is quiet, people have no need for security. Depending on the event, host of manifestation, or the state, can give security by protocol, but in most cases, our officials move freely abroad - concluded Toncev.
