Vucic says Xi accepts invitation to visit Serbia
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic told reporters in Beijing that his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping has accepted an invitation to visit Serbia for a third time.
“I asked the Chinese president twice and the third time he instructed his foreign minister to organize a third visit to Belgrade,” Vucic said after a meeting with Xi in the capital of China.
The Serbian president added that he accepted Xi’s invitation to take part in a meeting of the One Belt, One Road >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << initiative in Beijing in April next year.
According to Vucic, the meeting with Xi was extremely important. “The Chinese president told met that whoever knocks on a door so many times has the door opened for him,” he said.
He said Serbia and China have the best possible cooperation. “China supports our territorial integrity just as we support the territorial integrity of China and the one belt, one road policy. China respects Serbia because we are a sovereign and independent country which takes its own decisions unlike others,” the Serbian president said.
