Serbian official says Pristina manipulation investigation
A senior Serbian Foreign Ministry official said on Monday that he is encouraged by the new information about the murder of Kosovo Serb political leader Oliver Ivanovic and accused the authorities in Pristina of manipulating the investigation.
Ivanovic was gunned down in January in front of his party offices in the northern part of the divided town of Kosovska Mitrovica.
“The information we have, however much, are something encouraging,” Ministry General Secretary >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << Veljko Odalovic told the Serbian state TV (RTS), commenting Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic’s statement that Serbia has received the first operational information about the Ivanovic murder.
Odalovic said that the Serbian authorities will insist on the murder being solved and accused the authorities in Pristina of pushing the investigation to “the direction which suits them politically”. “Pristina is abusing the murder and trying to redirect the clues to a direction that suits it,” he said.
