Kosovo President hints at his withdrawal from negotiations
Kosovo President Hashim Thaci returned from New York with different ideas about the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue and hinted at his possible withdrawal from the negotiations where he represented the Kosovo side, Koha Ditore reported.
"(After the UN General Assembly session in New York), he neither mentioned the need for demarcation, nor did he speak >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << of ‘Aleksandar Radovic’s gifts,’ but he did hint at the possibility of withdrawing from the position of the Kosovo representative in the dialogue (with Serbia)," Koha daily said.
During a Friday pres conference, Thaci said it is “absolutely irrelevant who was in charge of the dialogue.” “Right now the dialogue is led by the government’s team headed by Fatmir Ljimaj. There should be a Kosovo negotiation team in which the opposition would take part as well. They should conclude all the elements from the comprehensive plan. The President doesn’t even have to be part of this process," Thaci said.
