Thaci says Kosovo status quo untenable
Kosovo President Hashim Thaci told Friday’s media conference in Pristina that the officials he spoke to during the UN General Assembly session in New York feel that the status quo has to be resolved.
“The status quo has to be resolved through a viable and comprehensive agreement. An agreement with Serbia on normalizing relations makes sense only if it is legally binding internationally and if it includes mutual recognition and a complete demarcation,” he said.

Thaci said that he is opposed to an exchange of territories and the forming of the Community of Serb Municipalities with executive powers but added that he strongly supports the demand by ethnic Albanians in southern Serbia to annex the Presevo valley to Kosovo.
