Serbian and US flags flown at US residence
Serbia’s Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic and the US Ambassador to Serbia Kyle Scott have flown the flags of Serbia and the US, on the US residence building in Belgrade amid the centenary of the Serbia Day, which is marked in the United States since July 28, 1918.
This marked the 100th anniversary since the Serbian flag was flown in the US as the first flag of any foreign country in the White House, on July 28, 1918.
Dacic said that previously, Washington and Belgrade >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << "recalled the alliances and paved the way for further partnerships." Ambassador Scott said that flying the Serbian flag alongside the US flag aims to show the US’ commitment to the partnership with Serbia, as President Woodrow Wilson did a hundred years ago.
