Transrodni Erika i Korej Mejson iz Detroita svoju životnu ispovest podelili su sa svetom, koja je mnoge ostavila bez reči.

Korej se od malih nogu ponašala poput devojčice, a zbog ženstvenog ponašanja vršanjaci su je zlostavljali. Majka je morala da je ispiše iz škole, a tek u 11. godini života potvrdilo se ono u šta je sumnjala. Korej je gledala emisiju o jednoj transrodnoj devojčici i tada se poverila majci da se oseća baš >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu SrbijaDanas.com << poput nje. Roditelji su je potpuno razumeli i prihvatili njene strahove i želje.

Pomoć lekara Korej je potražila u dečjoj bolnici u Čikagu. Lekari su ipak savetovali da s hormonalnom terapijom pričekaju do njenog 14. rođendana, što je ujedno bilo dovoljno rano da devojčica izbegne muški pubertet.

Tada su zajedno započeli proces promene pola.

- Bio sam ohrabren odlukom svog deteta, iako su se emocije mešale - rekao je Erik, koji se i sam odlučio za mastektomiju i otkrio da je još uvek u braku s partnerom u kog se zaljubio dok je bio žena.

- Volim ga kao osobu i nije važno kojeg je spola - rekao je.

Priznaje da je jedina greška koju je napravio ta što se nije dovoljno rano edukovao o promeni pola i krenuo s postupkom.

Korej je transformaciju sebe i svoje majke objavila i na Instagramu, čime je dobila mnoštvo lajkova i pozitivnih i ohrabrujućih komentara.

Kako su rekli, ne obaziru se na negativne komentare i žive svoj život. Njima je sasvim lepo i priznaju kako su tek sada zadovoljni svojim izgledom i telom.
