Two Albanians heavily beaten in Serbia’s north
The unknown perpetrators heavily beat up two young ethnic Albanians, the Beta news agency reported, citing the organisation of Albanians from Serbia’s northern city of Novi Sad.
Both are seriously injured in the incident that happened during the night between Saturday and Sunday, and doctors fight for the life of one of them.
"A group of four people attacked the two men, both born in 1999, without any obvious reason except that they heard them speaking in Albanian,” >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << the organisation said.
Speaking to reporters at the kick off of the intentional disaster relief exercise “Serbia 2018” held in the Belgrade suburb of Mladenovac, Serbia’s President Aleksandar Vucic demanded from the Interior Ministry to found the attackers and “punish them most severely.”
“We are not savages… No one should attack anyone only because they are Albanians. All our citizens must have equal legal protection,” Vucic said on Monday.
