Storm in Serbia claims one life
A man died in Serbia’s eastern town of Pozarevac on Wednesday after being trapped in a flooded garage and an elevator door blocked due to the power outage, unofficial reports said.
Local media quoted neighbours who said that the man drowned when he went down to an underground garage to check on his car during the storm and heavy rain.
The elevator got stuck when the power went out and blocked the door, while the level of water in the garage was about two meters. >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija <<
The man has been the only reported victim of the hail storm and heavy rain that hit parts of Serbia and its northern province of Vojvodina on Wednesday causing material damage that has yet to be determined.
