Serbia’s Vucic &US official: Regular exchange on Kosovo
Serbia’s President Aleksandar Vucic and US Assistant Secretary of State Wess Mitchell agreed on Wednesday that Belgrade and Washington would “regularly” exchange information on the dialogue between the capitals of Serbia and Kosovo on normalisation of their relations.
Belgrade - based Beta news agency quoted Vucic’s office statement saying Mitchell told Serbia’s President that the US hoped it was possible >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << to find a compromise.
Mitchell added that Serbia was an important country and valuable partner to the US, while Vucic thanked him for his interest in the Belgrade – Pristina dialogue, adding Serbia was always ready to talk.
The two spoke on the phone.
On Tuesday, Mitchell told a Senate hearing on Washington’s European policy that the US was getting more and more involved in the Western Balkans.
“We have intensified communication with Serbia and Kosovo and are promoting reforms in Bosnia-Herzegovina,” the Voice of America’s Serbian service quoted Mitchell as saying.
