Serbia’s Vucic: No rallies in Hrtkovci, full stop
Aleksandar Vucic, Serbia’s President, said on Friday the state had banned all gatherings in the northern village of Hrtkovci scheduled for May 6.
"The state has banned the gatherings, full stop,” he told reporters at the Presidency’s building.
Vucic appealed to all participants in a saga on whether there would be any rally to understand that the state brought decision because there was a threat to safety and public order.
Vucic then commented >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << on his trips to Ankara and Moscow and meetings with Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Vladimir Putin, Turkish and Russian presidents respectively, saying the meetings’ agenda would include bilateral relations (with Russia) and economy, politics and regional cooperation (with Turkey).
Vucic will meet Erdoğan on May 7, Putin the next day and on May 9 he will be present at the Military Parade in Moscow.
The President also talked about Kosovo, saying Serbia was facing a tough period in the next few months.
He added he hoped for a compromise on Kosovo’s issue despite the strong pressure he said he expected. He did not elaborate.
“It is important for us not to make hasty decisions… Can we be happy? No, we cannot, for sure.” “Whatever you do, you will regret and it’s not good. In an impossible atmosphere in which you expect everything and don’t have anything you must struggle against the strongest fighters,” Vucic said without further details.
