Serbia’s Govt & German KfW bank sign memo on understanding
The Government of Serbia and the German Frankfurt-based KfW, a government-owned development bank, signed a memorandum of understanding on Wednesday to boost the entrepreneurship and self-employment in Serbia.
Serbia’s Prime Minister, who witnessed the signing, said that the memorandum would help solve two problems – lack of financing and risk from failure.
She added that the programme was intended for craftsmen, services’ sector and farmers and that the Economy >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << Ministry and the Office for Public Investment would jointly implement the projects.
The German ambassador to Serbia Axel Dittmann said that initial 12.9 million Euros was earmarked for the programme.
"Banks will have guarantees for crediting companies, while we will help those companies through training since an idea is not enough,” Dittmann said.
