Serbian president condemns threats by opposition MP
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic on Thursday condemned the threats against him and Prime Minister Ana Brnabic made by an opposition MP.
Dveri movement MP Srdjan Nogo said in a show on a YouTube channel that Vucic and Brnabic “should be hanged (on Belgrade’s central) Terazije square” for allegedly signing an agreement with the European Union which he said would “allow Brussels to send 1.2 million migrants to Serbia”.
Vucic said that no one can say that they >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << will hang a woman, adding that it’s shameful that no one tried to protect the prime minister from insults and threats. He said he has no problem with someone threatening him but not with someone threatening a woman.
“We will have to seriously face the threats, not in the sense of fighting because that is their manner, but in our own way which means showing them how senseless that is with a serious policy,” Vucic told reporters in Belgrade.
