Serbian government formally decides to form media bodies
The Serbian government took formal decisions to form the working group drafting the national media strategy and a Coordination Group for Cooperation with the Media, a government press release said on Thursday.
The first meeting of the working group which is to draft a “strategic document on the development of the system of providing information to the public which will closely define that field in the next five years” will be held on June 25, it said and added that Ministry >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << of Culture and Information official Dejan Stojanovic will chair the group made up of nine representatives of media and journalist organizations and eight representatives of state institutions.
The press release said the Coordination Group is being formed to work with a Dialogue Team (which is to be formed by media and journalist organizations) to improve relations with the media and solve any open questions.
The coordination group will be co-chaired by the media advisors to the Serbian president and prime minister, Suzana Vasiljevic and Jelena Kovacevic.
