Serbian education minister wants better financial control
A reform of the education system at university level will allow better government control of finances, Serbian Education Minister Mladen Sarcevic said on Friday.
Speaking on TV Pink , he added that a reform of the system would also allow the economy to contribute to educating the personnel it requires. Higher levels of education should depend on the economy, Sarcevic said.
The quality of studies and the spending of budget funds are not the problem, the lack of transparency and ministry control are, the minister said and added that managers and new forms of control would be introduced.
