Serbian education minister meets teachers’ unions
Education Minister Mladen Sarcevic met with representatives of Serbian teachers’ unions on Wednesday for talks on the pay grades system proposed for the education system.
The pay grades will be part of the new law on wages in the public sector.
A ministry press release said that the union representatives were informed about a financial analysis of the proposed pay grade model, adding that a new meeting has been scheduled for Thursday October 4.

The teachers’ unions are demanding changes to the proposed pay grades system to bring teachers salaries in line with other public services.
