Serbian capital to get public bicycle service

Belgrade will get a public bicycle service like other European cities have over the next three years, the city assembly decided on Wednesday.

Under the decision, 50 bicycle stations will be put up every year and 500 bicycles bought with a budget of three million Dinars (1 Euro – 119 Dinars) for the project.

Deputy Mayor Goran Vesic told the assembly session that 120 kilometres of cycle paths will be built in the next four years to help cut down pollution in the Serbian capital.
