Serbian PM says Serbia not ready for EU yet

Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic told Radio Deutsche Welle on Wednesday that Serbia could be ready to sign an agreement to normalize relations with Kosovo and be prepared to join the European Union by 2025.

“If you ask me now, if the EU said we could join tomorrow, I would say no because we are not ready,” she said.

“I am not saying that is going to happen. I am saying that Serbia is committed to that. I think it’s important to truly implement reforms so that we can be politically and economically mature enough to join the EU,” she said.
