Serbian PM denies not mentioning UN resolution on Kosovo
Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic denied claims that she never mentioned UN Security Council resolution 1244 on Kosovo at the UN General Assembly session.
“It’s not right that I didn’t mention resolution 1244 at the UN. I clearly mentioned resolution 1244 a day earlier (before her address to the General Assembly) when I spoke at the Action for Peace meeting and when I appealed for the UNMIK mission not to lower its numbers and fully respect UN Security Council resolution >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << 1244. Everyone knows that, especially the people who were at the UN,” Brnabic said, replying to a reporter who asked if Serbia was giving up on resolution 1244.
She said she did not mention the resolution in her speech before the General Assembly but added that it is always mentioned at meeting. “That is best reflected in the fact that the Serbian government is succeeding more than all previous governments in getting countries to withdraw their recognition of the self-proclaimed independence of so-called Kosovo,” she said.
