Serbian Oil Industry reports first quarter profits
The Serbian Oil Industry NIS said on Friday that its net profits stood at 3.7 billion Dinars (31 million Euro) in the first quarter of 2018.
A press release said the company invested 7.8 billion Dinars (66 million Euro) into development - 68 percent more than in the first quarter of 2017 – most of it into research and production, processing facilities and upgrades of the refinery in the town of Pancevo.
NIS paid 43.2 billion Dinars (365 million Euro) in taxes in the >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << first quarter of the year, or almost 8 billion (68 million Euro) more than in the same period a year earlier.
NIS CEO Kiril Tyurdenyev said tghat the company would focus on strategic investments. “Innovative solutions and equipment which create a positive business effect and contribute to protection health and the environment remain our priority,” he said, adding that the company will improve its operational efficiency.
