Serbian Labour minister announces stricter financial control
Stricter financial control over welfare institutions will bring a better distribution of budget funds, Serbia’s Labour Minister Zoran Djordjevic said on Thursday.
The minister told the Serbian state TV (RTS) that stricter control of budget spending in those institutions is scheduled to start on January 1. “The ministry wants the money to be used in the right way which means that those institutions will have to make plans for the next year and plan their budget precisely month >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << for month,” he said.
He said the social security and welfare system is prepared for the stricter budget control “except for a few institutions which have not taken things seriously”.
Djordjevic said institutions such as retirement homes which have their own income will be allowed to dispose of those funds instead of being made to pay them into the budget.
