Serbian Church should not take political decisions
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Monday that the Serbian Orthodox Church should not be making the country’s key political decisions.
“I don’t think the church should be making key political decision but it does have the right to its own stand, I have no problem with that,” Vucic told reporters during a visit to Azerbaijan.

He said he has done a lot for the Church, both personally and as head of state and government, adding that it would be hard to find anyone who has done more.
The Serbian Orthodox Church's top body, the Holy Synod said in a statement on May 10 that Kosovo is an inalienable part of Serbia and added that no Serbia official should ever approve its leaving Serbia. Vucic reacted a day later, saying that he respects the church but does not see it offering a solution to the problem.
