Serbia supports German Foundation for WB, President says

Serbia’s President Aleksandar Vucic supported the German initiative for establishing the Foundation for researches in the Western Balkans, his office said on Thursday.

In the meeting with Jörg Hacker, President of the German National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina, Vucic said the Foundation could keep young talented people from leaving Serbia and the region, as well as motivate the return from the world of those who had already left.

He said he was ready to help the strengthening of the scientific cooperation between Germany and Serbia.

The two discussed bilateral relations in the science and education areas within the framework of the Berlin process.
