Serbia sees record high foreign investments in 2017

The Ernst and Young financial services firm has put Serbia on a list of 15 European countries with the most foreign investments for the first time, Belgrade daily Politika said on Wednesday.

According to the newspaper, Serbia saw 20,000 new jobs opened thanks to those investments in 2017 which is 6 percent of the total number of new jobs in Europe last year.

Politika quoted economists who said that overall investments are still low despite the record-high foreign investments >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << which means that Serbia’s economic growth in 2017 was lower than in the rest of the region.

The daily said the number of foreign investment projects in Serbia increased by 157 percent in 2017 compared to the previous year.
