Prosecutor mislays charges against Serbian ultra-nationalist

An official of the Serbian Liberal Democrat Party (LDP) has been told by prosecutors that the criminal charges he filed against an ultra-nationalist had been mislaid.

LDP official Djordje Zujovic filed charges against Nikola Seselj, whose father Vojislav heads the ultra-nationalist Serbian Radical Party (SRS), after death threats were posted on Seselj’s Facebook account and repeated in a press interview.

The threats came after Zujovic was struck in the head by an SRS >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << sympathizer on the outskirts of the village of Hrtkovci while blocking the arrival of Vojislav Seselj and his entourage who wanted to mark the anniversary of a Serb nationalist rally in that mainly Croat-populated village at the start of the wars in the former Yugoslavia.

The prosecution informed Zujovic that the charges he filed had been mislaid in the file of the incident in Hrtkovci. The LDP official told N1 that he suspects that this was done on purpose. “I don’t know how I can trust prosecutor Natasa Krivokapic who showed what she does in the Savamala and helicopter cases,” he said and added that he was told by the police that the prosecutor only ordered them to take his statement and not question Nikola Seselj.
