No one should fear Kosovo Army, PM says
Ramush Haradinaj, Kosovo’s Prime Minister said on Thursday that no one had a reason to be afraid of the transformation of Kosovo force into an army which should have 5,000 soldiers, the Beta news agency reported.
Commenting on Serbia’s President Aleksandar Vucic’s statement that Kosovo armed forces would corner Belgrade and that he was afraid of tragic >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << consequences, Haradinaj said that was a problem of media and propaganda in Serbia.
“Both Vucic and Serbia and everybody knows that the Albanians are not like that. Never in their history have they threatened someone who lives with them. Vucic needs the courage to explain to his people that the life in Kosovo does not depend on Belgrade,” Haradinaj told the Montenegrin A1 TV in an interview.
According to him, Kosovo will be a safer place when the security institutions are completed.
“No one can threaten anyone. The Serbs in Kosovo will be safer when we finish the architecture of our security forces,” Haradinaj added.
He said he didn't worry about Serbia’s Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic who at times had announced that a particular state had withdrawn the recognition of Kosovo.
“Serbia is only wasting time with us,” he said, adding that no state had annulled the decision on recognition.
“Let Dacic and the others having fun if they have time and money for that,” Haradinaj said.
He added he respected Serbia and the values of the Serb nation, “but when it is about my people’s rights, I choose what I am.”
