Nigel Kennedy to open Belgrade music festival
British violinist Nigel Kennedy will open Belgrade’s classical music festival BEMUS with a concert titled Bach Meets Kennedy Meets Gershwin on October 10, the festival said on its web site.
Kennedy will perform with a chamber orchestra at the Serbian capital’s Sava Centre hall.
This year’s 50th BEMUS will open with Kennedy’s concert on October 10 and will close on October 20 following a number of different concerts by solo artists, orchestras and choirs in several halls and museums.
Organizers said the full program will be published early next month.
